About
Christine Lynn Chen, MD is a physician, artist, and visual communicator. As the proud daughter of a family of immigrants, she has always been curious about the multiple worlds she grew up in. This foundation has guided both her pursuit of medicine and her creative endeavors.
She graduated from Stanford University where she studied Human Biology with a focus on health equity and science communication. She then spent several years working on health education design before starting medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She is now an Internal Medicine Resident Physician at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
You can find her artwork on the walls of hospitals, as well as in medical journals such as Annals of Internal Medicine, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association Journal of Ethics, and Graphic Medicine Review. Her comics have also been highlighted in national grassroots campaigns by the 19th and 21st U.S. Surgeon General and been presented in lectures both nationally and internationally.
