This was a special piece commissioned by one of the most incredible medical educators, Dr. Alice Gallo. What an honor it was to work on this piece together. Dr. Gallo’s request was for a piece that summed up lessons learned from working together in the medical ICU, so I had such fun trying to symbolically weave together lessons into this piece. It was also my first time printing on acrylic glass - and I loved the way this medium brings the colors to life!
The original concept artwork - it was such a satisfying challenge to get the symbolism and colors just right.
