Sacred moments

I started my first month of Internal Medicine residency working in the medical ICU. Amidst the frenzy of learning a new system and responding to crises and delivering medical care — we also got to be a part of some deeply sacred moments. I drew this to process one of the biggest lessons I learned from those moments. This lesson was modeled to me by the incredible ICU team I worked with, who taught me that one of the biggest gifts we can give our patients is to provide dignity in all that we do.
